This accessibility statement is made for the University of Eastern Finland’s website https://www.kaarnirantalab.fi. The statement has been created on 26.03.2022. The website was published on 04.11.2020. The latest major website update was on 26.03.2022. Minor content updates continue to be published.
We have assessed the accessibility of our website ourselves using WCAG 2.1 guidelines and online tools.

Known accessibility issues:
– When opening the cookie banner again using keyboard navigation (from the front page or the footer), focus does not automatically shift to the banner and instead remains at the “Modify Cookie Consent” link.
—> Currently the only solutions are either clicking the banner with the mouse or using the keyboard navigation to return to the selectable elements at the beginning of the page (before the “Skip to content” and navigation bar elements).
University of Eastern Finland’s websites, mobile applications, and the content related to them must be accessible.
